The Colossus and Other Stories was first launched at Utter! a spoken word event at the Hat Factory. The evening book launch was a great success, with rich mix of live poetry, music, and stand-up comedy acts. There was an audience of over 100 people, who each who took a copy of the publication home with them.

The main public launch on Saturday the 7th March, was curated Lee Nelson (who runs Utter!) over 70 people attended. There was nine acts; six were some of the writers, two were from Revoluton Arts Young poets group, and one was a performer from London. This diverse line-up made the afternoon event about more than just the exhibition launch. Guests enjoyed a choice of 6 cakes, and freshly cooked bhajis from Bury Park.
