Tales and Tastings is a publication which collected recipes and food stories from Swanscombe, Northfleet and Ebbsfleet. Artist Nicole Mollett led a research project from November 2018 – March 2019 running workshops in schools and public events. She spoke with people at Swanscombe Senior Lunch Club, Northfleet Big Local, Northfleet Lunch club, Ebbsfleet Coffee morning, and individual residents over the course of several months.   Stories were also submitted anonymously via postboxes situated in several local libraries.

The final booklet includes a collection of drawings, recipes and texts which are presented both in the printed edition. Much of the historical stories were thanks to local historian Christoph Bull who collaborated on the project with the artist. Stories include the life of Mrs Beeton the famous cookery writer, the history of the Moores Factory, the Watercress farms and many more fascinating tales.
